How to Update Your Announcement Bar Plan 🔄
You can update your plan directly from the Essential Announcer app.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the Essential Announcer app
- Go to the Pricing / Plans section from the left hand side menu
- Choose your billing cycle - Monthly or Yearly
- Select the plan that best fits your needs
- Confirm the plan upgrade in Shopify
💡 Tip:
Yearly billing offers a discounted rate compared to monthly billing.
Once confirmed, your new plan will be activated immediately, and all newly unlocked features will become available right away.
How Announcement Bar Views Work 👀
A view is counted each time an announcement bar is rendered to a visitor on your store.
Important Notes About Views
- Views are counted per page load, not unique visitors
- Reloading the page counts as a new view
- Views apply to all active announcement bars, and if you have a few bars on the same page, a few views will be generated
- Monthly views reset automatically on the first day of each month
If a visitor navigates through multiple pages where the announcement bar is visible, each page load counts as a separate view.
What Happens If You Reach Your View Limit? ⚠️
If you reach your monthly view limit:
- We will email you at your main Shopify e-mail address to make you aware of this. If no actions are taken, your announcement bars will be unpublished after 3 days after you reach the views limit, and the monthly views will reset on the first day of the next month (the bars will not be published again automatically)
- You can upgrade your plan at any time to increase your available views, so your currently published bars do not get unpublished
