Why Are Some Products Not Discounted Using Rockit Sales (and How to Fix It)

If some products aren’t showing discounts, start by reactivating the sale. This is the most common fix and rules out cases where products or variants were added or updated after the sale was first activated.

💡 Important: Whenever you add new products, variants, or update existing ones, the sale must be reactivated so Rockit can apply the discount to those changes.

Other possible reasons

1. The product is already part of another active sale

A product can only be discounted by one Rockit sale at a time.

You can check this using the Preview feature:

  • Open the sale creation page
  • Add the product to the sale filter
  • Click Preview

If the product is already discounted by another sale, Rockit will show which one.

2. The product was modified after the sale was activated

If the product or variant was edited manually in Shopify — or by another app — after the sale started, the discount may be removed.

3. Another app or manual price changes interfered

Manual price edits or other pricing apps can override Rockit’s discounts. Avoid changing prices while a Rockit sale is active.

4. Shopify API did not return the product correctly

In some cases, Shopify does not return certain products through sale filters due to a known Shopify API issue. This can prevent the discount from being applied.

What to do next

  • Reactivate the sale
  • Check for overlapping sales using Preview
  • Avoid manual price changes during active sales
  • Contact support if the issue persists

That’s it! Once everything is aligned, the discounts should apply correctly 🚀
