Why do I see two buttons, Sold out or Add to cart plus Notify me or Preorder? (Essent Preorder Back in Stock app)
Two buttons usually means either the product is in two campaigns, or your theme or another app is adding its own button.
- Preorder and Notify me together: the product is in both a preorder and a Back in Stock campaign. In the Back in Stock campaign → Back in stock products tab, set If a product is in preorder and back in stock campaigns to Show only preorder (or keep both on purpose).
- Theme's Sold out button plus Notify me: the Notify me button is added below a disabled Sold out button on some themes. Support can hide the theme's Sold out button for you.
- Add to cart still showing at 0 stock: "Continue selling when out of stock" is on for that variant, so Shopify keeps selling it. For Back in Stock only, turn it off under Products → Inventory.
- A second "Notify me" that isn't ours: your theme or another app (for example a Klaviyo block) has its own back-in-stock form. Turn it off in the theme editor or that app.
- Theme editor preview can show both. Always check the live store.
