How do I limit how many preorders I accept? (Essent Preorder Back in Stock app)

Use the stop-selling limit in the campaign. It works against your Shopify stock level, so the number is negative.

1. Open the campaign → Preorder products tab.
2. Tick Stop selling when stock level drops to.
3. Enter the number of preorders as a negative number. To accept 50 preorders once stock hits 0, enter -50. You can set one value for all products or a different value per variant in the Stop selling at column.
4. Save.

When the limit is reached, the app turns off "Continue selling when out of stock" for that variant and the Preorder button disappears.

Watch out

• A positive number (for example 50) means "stop while 50 are still in stock", not "sell 50 preorders".
• Limits are per variant. There is no shared limit across variants and no per-customer limit. Use Shopify's quantity rules or a purchase-limit app for that.
• Only stock at locations that fulfil online orders counts.
• Orders from channels like the Shop app or POS aren't blocked by the limit.
