Why is there extra text like “Note: Preorder” or “Title: Default Title” under a preorder item in the cart? (Essent Preorder Back in Stock app)

“Note: Preorder”

This is the campaign's Preorder note. The app adds it to each preorder item so you and your customer can see what is on preorder. It shows in the cart, at checkout and in order emails. “Note” and “Preorder” are the default wording.

1. Open the campaign and go to the Content tab.
2. Find Preorder note. The first field is the label (Note key), the second is the text (Note text).
3. Change the wording, for example Ships and Mid October. To remove the note, clear both fields. Fill in both or neither; the campaign won't save with only one.
4. Click Save.

“Title: Default Title”

The app doesn't add this. Shopify calls the only variant of a product with no options “Default Title”, and some themes print it under cart items that carry a note. Contact support with a link to the product and we'll hide it for your theme.

A long code starting with “_essential_preorder”

The app also adds a hidden reference to the campaign. Most themes hide anything that starts with an underscore. If yours shows it, contact support and we'll hide it.
