What are the timer types, and how does the countdown work? (Essential Countdown Timer app)
There are three timer types.
- Fixed minutes: each visitor gets a countdown of the length you set. The countdown is saved in the visitor's browser, so a page refresh continues it. Two visitors can see different times. Under Once it ends, choose Repeat the countdown to start a new countdown when the first one reaches zero.
- Countdown to a date: all visitors count down to the same end date and time. When the end time passes, the countdown does not restart. After it ends, you can hide the timer, show a custom title, or do nothing.
- Daily recurring: choose the weekdays and a daily start and end time, for example Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 11:00. You can also set a start and end date for the whole schedule.
Good to know
- Changing some settings, such as the timer type or the fixed minutes, can start a fresh countdown for visitors.
- Clearing browser data, or switching to another browser or device, starts a fresh countdown.
