What counts as a view, and what happens when I reach my plan limit? (Essential Countdown Timer app)
What counts as a view
- A view is each time a timer is shown on your storefront. It is not the same as a unique visitor, so one visitor can create several views in a session.
- Views are not counted in the theme editor preview.
- Limits are per month.
Plan limits
- Free: 1,000 views per month.
- Starter: 10,000 views per month. Includes landing page, scheduled, and recurring timers.
- Essential: 50,000 views per month. Includes cart page timers, email timers, product tag targeting, country targeting, and translations.
- Professional: unlimited views.
When you reach the limit
- The app shows a warning as you approach your limit.
- Once your views go over the limit, the app blocks publishing new timers and shows an upgrade banner.
- If you stay over the limit for about three days, your published timers are unpublished.
- The app does not upgrade your plan automatically.
Changing your plan
Go to Shopify admin → Apps → Essential Countdown Timer → Pricing plans. Before a downgrade, the app checks your published timers. Any timer that uses a feature the new plan does not include must be unpublished first.
