Why does my sticky timer overlap my header, or sit behind other content? (Essential Countdown Timer app)
A top bar set to stick can overlap a header or logo, or sit behind other elements on mobile.
Check the basics first
- Open the timer and go to Design → Positioning. Make sure it is set to Top page.
- Turn on Stick to top while scrolling, select Publish, and check the live store in an incognito window.
Stick to top only works for a top page timer, not a bottom bar.
If it overlaps the header or logo
The sticky bar sits at the very top of the screen. The app does not measure your theme's header height, and there is no top offset setting. Either turn off Stick to top while scrolling, or contact support with your theme name and a link to the page to ask about a custom offset.
If it sits behind other content
Your theme's header, drawer, or other sticky elements can sit above the timer. Turn off other sticky header or cart apps to see whether one of them is the cause. If the timer still sits behind content, contact support with a link to the page.
