How do I change the text colour, alignment, or boldness of my timer? (Essential Countdown Timer app)

Colours and font

Go to Design → Typography:

  • Title colour: the main title.
  • Subheading colour: the supporting text.
  • Timer colour: the countdown numbers and separators.
  • Legend colour: the labels such as Days, Hrs, Mins, and Secs.
  • Font: the timer font. If left blank, the timer uses your theme font.

Alignment

Go to Design → Layout. Standard and Inline are centred. Balanced places the text on the left and the timer on the right.

Bold text

The title and the countdown numbers are bold. There is no bold setting for the subheading or the labels.

Why the live store looks different from the preview

  • The preview and the live store are rendered differently. The live timer inherits your theme's font and layout where no font is set.
  • Your theme's CSS can override the timer's colours, especially broad selectors or !important rules.
  • Choosing a style template can replace the typography values you set. Check the Typography settings again after you change a template.
