How do I uninstall Essential Announcement Bar? (Essential Announcement Bar app)

  1. In the Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps.
  2. Find Essential Announcement Bar, open the ⋯ menu, and select Uninstall.
  3. Confirm the uninstall.

You do not need to remove the app's theme app blocks or app embed before you uninstall. The app does not require you to clean up its extension blocks by hand.

After uninstalling, you can check your theme at Online Store → Themes → Customize:

  • Under App embeds, confirm the Essential Announcement Bar embed is no longer active.
  • Check your theme sections for any Essential Announcement Bar app blocks. Remove any that remain visible.

If you pasted custom code for the bar into your theme yourself, that code is not part of the app and must be removed manually.
