Can I add a countdown timer to an announcement bar? (Essential Announcement Bar app)

Essential Announcement Bar does not show a live countdown clock inside an announcement bar. The scheduling settings can start and stop a bar on set dates and times, but they do not display the remaining time to shoppers.

To show a countdown, use the separate Essential Countdown Timer Bar app:

  1. Install Essential Countdown Timer Bar from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Create a timer and set its end date and time.
  3. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds, turn on the timer embed, and click Save.
  4. Publish the timer.

The countdown bar is created separately. It does not merge into an existing Essential Announcement Bar.
