Why doesn't my cart update after I save changes? (Essential Cart Drawer app)

Saving a change in the app updates the saved settings. An open cart drawer on the storefront keeps the view it loaded until the page is reloaded. Follow these steps:

1. Check the app embed on the published theme. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds, make sure Essential Cart Drawer is turned on for the theme that is live, and click Save.
2. Reload the storefront page. Use a hard refresh. Then test in a new incognito window.
3. Close and reopen the drawer after the page reloads. The drawer reads the current cart each time it opens.
4. Check you are editing the right feature. Cart Drawer and Sticky Cart are separate settings in the same app. Make sure you edited the Cart Drawer configuration.
5. Check for a competing cart drawer. Another cart app or the theme's own drawer can show instead of Essential Cart Drawer. If you see a different drawer, the saved settings will not appear.

You do not need to disable and re-enable the app for a normal settings change. If the change still does not show after these steps, contact support with your theme name, the setting you changed, and a screenshot of the drawer.
