How do Essential Upsell discounts combine with Shopify discount codes? (Essential Upsell app)

Essential Upsell discounts can combine with Shopify discount codes, but both the upsell discount and the Shopify code must allow it. Essential Upsell cannot override a code's combination settings.

• Product discounts from an upsell can combine with an order discount code, if the code allows product discounts to be combined.
• Order discounts from an upsell can combine with an order discount code only if the code allows order discounts to be combined.
• Shipping discounts can combine with a shipping discount code if both sides allow it.

To check a code, go to Discounts in your Shopify admin, open the code, and review its Combinations settings.

When two order-discount tiers in the same offer qualify, only one tier applies. Essential Upsell calculates qualification from the cart subtotal, so a code that lowers the total may not move the customer into a higher upsell tier.
