How do blocked dates (holidays) work? (Essential Estimated Delivery Date app)

Blocked dates are days the app skips when it calculates delivery dates. Each widget has two separate lists in the Conditions tab:

  • Order processing → Blocked dates (Holidays): days you don't process orders
  • Order transit → Blocked dates (Holidays): days orders are not delivered

A date blocked in one list is not blocked in the other. Add it to both if needed.

To add blocked dates: click + Add Blocked Dates, pick one day or a start and end date for a range, choose whether it repeats every year or applies to a specific year, click Select, and then save the widget.

📌 Good to know:

  • You can add up to 10 blocked date entries per list. A range of several days counts as one entry.
  • "Overlaps with existing blocked dates" means part of your new selection is already covered by an existing entry. This includes entries set to repeat every year, such as the December 25–26 entry that new widgets include by default. Edit or remove the existing entry, or pick dates that don't overlap.
  • Blocked dates don't change your cutoff time. Processing blocked dates push the processing dates forward, and transit blocked dates push the delivery dates forward.
