Will turning off the app stop existing subscriptions from being charged? (Essential Subscriptions app)

No. Turning off the app embed or unpublishing a campaign stops new customers from subscribing. Subscriptions that already started are separate contracts in Shopify, and the app keeps charging the active ones.

To stop charges, cancel the subscriptions:

1. Open Subscriptions in the app.
2. Open each active or paused subscription and click Cancel subscription.

Do this before you uninstall the app. Uninstalling doesn't cancel the subscriptions in Shopify. If you're moving to another app, move the subscriptions there before you cancel them here. If you have many subscriptions to cancel, contact us and we'll help.
