Adding a Countdown Timer to Your Product Pages using Rockit Sales app
Rockit Sales includes a built-in countdown timer that helps create urgency by showing customers exactly when a sale ends, directly on the product page.
The timer is linked to one of your sales sale, so once it’s set up, it stays in sync automatically.
📌 Important to Know
The timer is automatically configured using the sale’s end date.
You don’t set the countdown time manually inside the timer.
Instead, the timer reads the end date of the sale it’s assigned to and counts down from there.
How the Rockit Timer Works
For the timer to display correctly, all of the following must be true:
- A sale is created and active
- The sale has an end date
- A timer is created in the app
- The timer is assigned to the sale
- The timer block is added to the product page
If any of these steps are missing, the timer won’t appear.
Step 1: Create a Timer
Inside the Rockit Sales app:
-
Go to Timers
Click Create timer
Set:
- Internal name (not visible to customers)
- Title and subtitle text
- Labels for days, hours, minutes, and seconds
- Save the timer
Timers act as templates, so the same timer can be reused across multiple sales.

Step 2: Add the Timer to the Product Page
Rockit timers can be placed only on product pages.
Option A: App Block (Recommended – Online Store 2.0)
- Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
- Open a product page
- In the Product Information section, click Add block
- Select Rockit Sales Manager → Timer
- Position it where you want (for example, near the price or Add to Cart button)
- Save the theme

Option B: App Embed (Advanced)
If your theme doesn’t support app blocks or you need precise control:
- Enable the Timer app embed
- Use the provided CSS selector and position options
This option is intended for advanced setups.

Step 3: Assign the Timer to a Sale
- Open the sale inside Rockit Sales
- Select the timer you created
- Make sure the sale has an end date
- Save the sale
Once assigned, the timer will automatically start counting down using that end date.

Common Questions
Can I use one timer for multiple sales?
Yes. Timers are reusable templates.
What happens if I change the sale end date?
The timer updates automatically, no changes needed.
Why isn’t my timer showing?
Most often, it’s because:
- The timer block isn’t added to the product page
- The sale has no end date
- The timer isn’t assigned to the sale
Final Summary
Rockit’s countdown timer:
- Works only on product pages
- Is driven entirely by the sale’s end date
- Requires no manual countdown setup
- Updates automatically when sale dates change
Once placed and assigned, it runs on autopilot — helping customers act before time runs out.
