Does Essential Checkout work without Shopify Plus? (Essential Checkout app)
Yes. Delivery rules, payment rules and checkout validations run as Shopify Functions, so you can use them on Basic, Grow and Advanced plans as well as on Shopify Plus.
A few limits come from Shopify, not from the app:
- Credit card methods in the US and Canada: only Shopify Plus stores can hide, rename or reorder them. On other plans, a rule that targets them has no effect. Other payment methods, such as PayPal, cash on delivery or bank transfer, can be changed on any plan.
- Free shipping bar block: it shows on the checkout steps, which only Shopify Plus (and development) stores can change.
