Pricing Plans: Preorder Limits and what happens when you Reach Them
What counts toward the preorder limit?
We count preorder orders placed through Essential Preorder campaigns. It is measured per billing month, on your app billing cycle.
Where to see your usage
Go to App admin → Pricing plans. You will see your current plan, how many preorder orders you have used this month, and any overage rate.
Warnings before you reach the cap
On the Free plan the app warns you three times on the way up, at 20%, 50% and 70% of your monthly preorder limit. Each warning says the same thing: campaigns will unpublish at the cap.
When you actually reach the limit, the banner changes to a countdown telling you how many days are left before campaigns unpublish.
What happens at the Free plan cap
Two things happen together, and the second one surprises people:
- Your preorder campaigns are unpublished, so the Preorder button stops showing on your store.
- Shopify's "Continue selling when out of stock" is turned off on the products in those campaigns.
That second step is why an out-of-stock product can go from showing a Preorder button to showing nothing buyable at all. What happens on a paid plan
Paid plans do not unpublish. If you go past your included orders, campaigns keep running and you are charged for the extra.

Examples:
- Lite, 70 preorder orders in a month: 50 included, 20 × $0.25 = $5.00
- Starter, 135 preorder orders: 100 included, 35 × $0.20 = $7.00
- Essentials, 560 preorder orders: 500 included, 60 × $0.10 = $6.00
Overage is billed through Shopify as app charges, so it appears on your Shopify bill.
Common questions
Will my preorder button disappear if I hit the Free limit?
Yes. Campaigns are unpublished and "Continue selling when out of stock" is switched off at the same time.
Do limits reset monthly?

What should I do if I am about to hit the limit?
Upgrade before you reach the cap, particularly if you are running a live campaign that you cannot afford to have paused.
